The Team
The Database Administration team supports the Fidelity 401(k) recordkeeping database platform on z/OS, and replication to Db2 on z/OS, Oracle, and Kafka. The team handles end-to-end support including physical database design, deployment, data replication, performance tuning, and security.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent with 10+ years relevant experience
Experience on IBM Q Replication and IBM CDC is required
Experience in distributed systems is preferred
Cloud platform experience is desired
The Skills You Bring
Extensive experience in Db2 z/OS Database Administration in a broad, complex systems environment
Database design and engineering
Extensive experience in SQL, REXX, JCL, COBOL
Experience in QREP and IBM CDC replication products
Working knowledge of CA Database Tools
Native Stored Procedure experience
Database and SQL performance tuning
Experience in database upgrades
Exposure to distributed technologies and Linux
DDF support – monitoring and tuning
The Value You Deliver
Provide application database support for a large Db2 z/OS Sysplex environment
Maintenance of Databases – Utilities management
Provide 24×7 on-call support, and work with required teams to seamlessly manage and resolve incidents
Build and support replication from Db2 on z/OS to various heterogeneous targets on-prem and in the Cloud
Work independently on large and complex projects, taking them from ideation to Production implementation
Engage and influence internal partners on best practices and project prioritization
Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
