Job Summary:

The Corporate Transactions Group, within the Legal Department of The Walt Disney Company, is seeking an experienced corporate attorney to work on transactions in the sourcing and procurement area

Responsibilities:

  • Work on enterprise sourcing and procurement transactions in close collaboration with the Company’s corporate sourcing and procurement group and other business and legal stakeholders
  • Structure, draft and negotiate complex sourcing and procurement agreements and documents, including master services agreements and statements of work, product and merchandise purchase agreements, purchase orders, consulting agreements, media services agreements and shipping and logistics agreements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Company’s business stakeholders and other legal teams in connection with the sourcing and procurement agreements, including enterprise benefits, privacy, technology, global security and risk management
  • Provide ongoing legal advice and support to the Company’s corporate sourcing and procurement team and to other business stakeholders in connection with the sourcing and procurement agreements and related legal issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ minimum experience managing and running complex corporate transactions
  • Experience at a large law firm with a nationally recognized corporate practice
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Understands legal responsibility and exhibits the highest degree of honesty, integrity and respect
  • Strong drafting and writing skills, together with solid business and financial acumen
  • Proven track record as a skilled negotiator with the ability to identify and allocate risk and assess financial trade-offs
  • Organized and detailed, along with exhibiting good judgment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with persons of all levels
  • Strong time management in order to execute against high-priority projects

Preferred Qualifications:

Significant corporate transactional experience, including substantial experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements

Required Education

Law degree from an accredited law school and a licensed attorney

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
