Job Description

Job Description:

We are looking for a content strategist to join our Personalized Planning & Advice team! At Fidelity, we are hyper-focused on providing the support our customers need to make the right financial decisions. To help workplace employees on the Fidelity platform meet their retirement goals, we offer a managed account service called Personalized Planning & Advice (PP&A). This is currently the 3rd largest workplace managed account offering in the industry. It’s an exciting time to join this fast-growing team!

You’ll be dedicated to writing, editing, and optimizing content for PP&A.  You’ll work alongside other creatives to design online experiences that help make sense of all the options and make sure our customers know they don’t have to go it alone saving for retirement. Working with the marketing team and the product lead, you’ll help clarify the product vision and drive consistency across our online experiences and our marketing materials. The content you write will be easy-to-understand, engaging, and thoroughly relatable—even when the topic gets complicated.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the team to create, edit, and optimize existing content to improve engagement and drive product awareness
  • Transform things that are messy and complex and make them clear and actionable
  • Use research and data to understand customer problems and identify appropriate solutions
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, advocating for content-led experiences
  • Drive the content strategy, content creation, and standards that are essential in helping customers complete transaction flows and make decisions
  • Collaborate with the content and marketing team to review engagement data and make strategic decisions from that data
  • Identify opportunities across the product where we can drive more consistency
  • Work with the marketing and design teams to communicate the value proposition to help customers decide if a managed account is right for them
  • Work with legal and executives to ensure content is compliant, but easy to understand
  • Be able to present ideas and pitches to leadership
  • Drive continuous process improvements

The skills and expertise you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of finances and advisory services a plus
  • 5 or more years in content strategy
  • Experience working with cross-functional, agile teams is preferred
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and how to create digital content for all audiences
  • Empathy and understanding
  • Ability to build credibility and trust with peers and executives and enjoy working in a complex organization with multiple decision-makers
  • A collaborative spirit to work with designers, researchers, developers, and other partners to write and test customer-focused content that is engaging while maintaining Fidelity’s voice and tone
