The Role

As a Principal, Cloud Technologist, you will use your technical capabilities and your domain expertise to develop innovative solutions. You have strong competency with Azure Services and Capabilities and the necessary cybersecurity standard methodologies, patterns, and practices in developing end-to-end cloud-based solutions. You have a passion for delivering solutions to the customers that will give you opportunities to grow multi-dimensionally.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related software engineer field

• 7+ years’ experience in engineering enterprise distributed based applications

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

• Programming/development with a compiled/OOP-geared language like C# or Java and scripting/interpreted language experience like JavaScript/TypeScript or Python.

• Understanding and hands-on work with containers (i.e., docker, etc.).

• Azure expertise, particularly core infrastructure/compute services and PaaS-like services e.g. App Services, AKS, ACI, etc.

• Demonstrate understanding and proven track record for cloud-based solutions, continuous integration/deployment, and cloud architecture.

• Good understanding of Microservices Architecture Pattern.

• Hands-on Kubernetes skills and understanding.

• Good understanding of well architected framework implementation in Enterprises: Operation excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency and cost optimization.

• Experience with web, event driven, caching, batch architectures, designing systems for high throughput, low latency, high availability, and fault tolerance.

• A solid understanding of foundational Azure concepts (i.e., Management Group, Subscriptions, Resource Groups, Resource Providers, VNet, and Azure Resource Management (ARM).

• Experience operating/supporting running production applications.

• Ability and willingness to learn new things, and adopt and adjust to changing conditions

The team enable other teams within Personal Investing to innovate, accelerate delivery, and compete as a Digital Business by providing platforms, frameworks, security capabilities, and expertise that empower autonomous, agile development teams to deliver their unique value to our customers. We develop automated tools and processes to advance the organization’s ability to go to the cloud in a manner that enhances the developer experience, increases autonomy, and accelerates delivery. We also drive end-to-end architecture solutions that will bootstrap development teams and take solutions to market fast.
