We are looking for a “hands-on” Principal Cloud Solution Architect/Engineer with strong affinity for networking and security. The position will be part of the Network team within Enterprise Cloud Computing (ECC), which is responsible for the network design, infrastructure services, security, automation, implementation, and operation of virtual network constructs within various cloud service providers for a large enterprise. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of fundamental networking technologies, network security, infrastructure as code. We are seeking an Azure subject matter expert that would like dive into AWS and prefer being self-taught / self-managed. The position will be based in Westlake, TX, Durham, NC or Merrimack, NH. This role could also sit in Austin, TX, Baltimore, MD, Houston, TX, Richmond, VA or Washington, DC We are work at home at this time, but this will evolve into a hybrid state in the future.

The network team is made up of engineers and architects with the philosophy of, you implement and own your designs. This role is for the engineering / delivery sub-team with primary focus on solution creation and advanced troubleshooting. If you love to continuously learn, create, and improve, then this might be the challenge you’re looking for. If your long-term goal is to have fun with technologies outside of traditional networking like serverless, ML, AI, then we might be able to share in the fun.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Expertise in cloud architecture design and implementation with focus on networking and security

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure cloud technologies with a desire to learn AWS

  • In-depth knowledge of IP routing, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, DNS, and other infrastructure services

  • Advocate for and hands-on practitioner of infrastructure-as-code with Python/Powershell experience

  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

  • 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and architecture

  • Infrastructure software development and automation skills Python/Powershell

  • Experience with virtual network and security constructs primarily in Azure
