We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Business Analyst where you will lead a small team of analysts who work across a portfolio of projects. About the role:
The Principal Analyst’s primary role is to deliver analysis services across Whitbread, in support of the Operating Model Development, Architecture and Delivery teams.
The role is also responsible for supporting the Analysis Practice Manager in defining and implementing improvements to the standards and processes that the team operate to and maturing the analysis capability as an asset for Whitbread.
In addition, the role is responsible for developing and managing the efficient and effective use of analyst resources and building strong working relationships across our stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing:
Development and maintenance of business models (e.g. capabilities, processes, customer/employee journeys) within one or more Architecture Forums (Domains)
Delivery of strategic analysis within one or more Architecture Forum (Domains) to help shape the Technology Roadmap
Delivery of analysis services (e.g. Requirements Definition) across initiatives on the IT Workplan
Line management and development through coaching and mentoring of a small team of Business Analysts of varying levels of experience
Day-to-day management and co-ordination of external analysis partners used to supplement the team
Peer review of Analysis deliverables (e.g. Requirements Definition) and solution designs
Definition and implementation of initiatives to mature Analysis capabilities and improve standards and ways of working; includes contributing to BADAF, our informal Analysis, Data & Design community of Practice
What you’ll need:
Experience of leading and developing teams of business analysts
Experience of running workshops and presentations at “C†Level
Experience of driving operating model change across analysis teams
Experience of managing activities that support full project life cycle implementations, including those of a large complex nature
Understanding of business (and data) modelling techniques and approaches to capturing requirements
