Our Pricing team within Sales Operations is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating these strategies. We conduct research and pricing analysis and monitor the ongoing business environment to ensure Dell Technologies maintains a competitive market position.

What you’ll achieve
As SmartPrice Sr. Advisor, you will be a key member of the NA Storage Pricing team at Dell Technologies. Engage with regional sales leads, merchandizing team, and product pricing managers to drive pricing strategies and decisions across Canada. As a part of your day-to-day job responsibilities, you will establish and maintain system & management processes, observe customer usage and behavior, assess potential risk and opportunity, provide business analysis and make recommendation for change. In addition, you will cooperate with your regional SmartPrice SME to support new feature development and issue resolution activities.
Responsibilities
Ownership and governance of SmartPrice discount guidance
Ensure sales empowerment/velocity are within the targeted range, pricing guidance balances growth vs. profitability targets and ultimately help to achieve RUM performance goals
Actively support pricing proposal process for Canada with relevant/accurate information and proposed recommendations
Manage sales compensation related aspects of SmartPrice to positively influence sales behavior and optimize business results
Ensure Omni-Channel pricing consistency
Provide analytical driven insights in order to support Dells growth and strategic priorities, support management in delivering deep-dive type of analysis and presentations
Monitor and report regional SmartPrice discounting performance on regular basis
Monitor conversion rates and drive optimization as needed
Pro-actively communicate with key business stakeholders in region/country and act as a first point of contact for all pricing related matters
Work closely with GPT SmartPrice transformation team to drive pricing requirements into the SmartPrice intake process
Drive SmartPrice tool usage and adoption, assist with root cause analysis and troubleshooting
Understand the interaction of SmartPrice with other tools and systems, make recommendations for change to improve system stability and business productivity

Essential Requirements
10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience
2 years of product or deal pricing experience
Proven ability to operate in a cross-functional environment and drive issues to resolution - work collaboratively across teams in a highly matrixed environment to ensure deliverables are met, schedule is followed, and roadblocks cleared in a timely fashion to provide successful outcome
High level of detail-orientation - this job has oversight into pricing guidance and related compensation delivery; ability to manage data/system successfully with high level of accuracy is critical
Comfort with ambiguity - ability to jump in and drive without day to day guidance and flex as business needs change over time
Basic business and financial acumen required
Skilled with use of Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable Requirements
Experience with using business/sales tools such as DSA/Gii/GOAL/DAM/SFDC/Premier systems
Prior COC experience or engaging with regional COC’s
Experience with SmartPrice or Vendavo tools
