The Pricing team is a newly created team within the Global Commerce team and is integral to the company strategy to be a Truly Global Retailer. The pricing team are exploring the opportunities to develop Global Pricing maturity and capability, across Reprice, List Price and Discount Code Logics, across all price status’. This is integral to driving Global profitable growth.
What you’ll be doing…
You will be part of a team that is responsible for establishing a process to implement competitor price intelligence, and FP list price investment across Brands and ASOS Design. This role will work closely with the ASOS AI tech teams, and third party AI business partners. You will also be responsible for understanding the ROI of various reprice logics, proposing strategies to optimise pricing investments across our FC Hub zones. This includes proposing, adjusting and reporting on our pricing performance, looking at internal and external competitive price proposition data at territory level, and supporting a customer obsessed approach to drive competitive advantage. You will work closely with the Retail and Territory Managers and the wider Pricing Team to interpret and coordinate analysis from price tests, as well as pricing initiatives to support the Pricing Manager/ Head of Price and Promotion.

Building out scope for Price Scraping into day to day retail working practices, including business rule modelling.
Working across retail and legal teams to review, propose and drive forward our global list price strategy across key brands, including ASOS Design. Being able to deliver process change that will drive cut through and result in meaningful sales performance.
Understand how Price Investment through list price changes delivers return on investment, and compare to other price investment logics: Discount Code and POS Logics. Managing reporting and sales modelling with finance teams for FP initiatives.
Manage the price change process end to end, working with the data teams to establish process automation.
Support the wider Pricing team to ensure that FP, POS and CAYG strategies fall within the overall price change investment budget.
Work with Retail Finance teams to help establish reporting KPIs for Pricing Investments.
Communicate analysis and recommendations from initiatives to wider Pricing team and key internal stakeholders.
Develop a commercial understanding of ASOS’s Price Investment Pot across diverse international territories and contribute to defining the territory pricing strategy at product type level.
Drive knowledge and understanding of pricing levers that impact territory and product type elasticity and use this to propose recommendations for dynamic pricing strategies.
Use the business Pricing Tool to understand the pricing opportunities globally for the ASOS brand portfolio and keep track of competitive developments.
Responsible for consolidating weekly and monthly reporting for price trading initiatives across key customer and business metrics to be shared with the wider business.
Be a member of a wider Pricing team, supporting the development of an Assistant Price Trader and Price Trader Admin.
We’d love to meet someone with…
Previous experience working in either a Pricing or Merchandising role, at a minimum of Merchandiser level or equivalent.
Experience of developing and contributing to pricing optimisation strategies (POS & Clearance) alongside evaluating the success of a number of pricing initiatives on various business KPIs.
Ability to working at a fast pace, whilst having a passion for interpreting data to solve problems, spot new opportunities.
High organisation skills, ability to use initiative and to work in a pressurised environment.
Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, external partners and senior management.
Keen attention to detail.
Computer literate and able to use both Excel and PowerPoint applications to an intermediate/advanced level.
High numerical competency.
Flexible, self-motivated and enthusiastic with experience of managing direct reports.
