We are looking for a proactive self-starter who is a team player with a sharp news sense, excellent media judgement and enjoys getting to know journalists to help them shape their stories. Job description

The post holder will:

• Promote Acas stories to the media and maintain its reputation as impartial workplaces experts;

• Help to deliver a high-quality reactive media handling service including regular monitoring of news stories, dealing with media queries and interview bids; contributing to and taking part in the out-of-hours duty rota;

• Work to short deadline to draft press lines in response to journalist queries;

• Advise and support regional colleagues on best practice in PR;

• Leading, creating and delivering effective external campaigns and evaluating results;

• Build and maintain professional relationships with national, regional and specialist media outlets and stakeholders / partners;

• Provide necessary additional support to the Senior Media Manager as required.
