What you’ll be doing:

  • Be a thought leader for the IT Service Management area, ensuring we understand market trends – Ensuring Capita supports clients with their own IT roadmap
  • Using a consultative approach drive innovation, helping customers transform to new technology, processes and service delivery solutions
  • Support’ the growth target for Technology Solutions, ensuring we are doing the right thing for our clients and working in partnership with our delivery teams
  • Lead by example, ‘set the tone’ and define the future direction for the function and its services, drive quality in every customer response.
  • Be a ‘go to person’ for IT Service Management advice and guidance on Capita’s services
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships across CTS and broader Capita, to ensure the function is aligned and integrated with the wider business and its processes

What we’re looking for:

  • Take responsibility for the performance and quality of your output to support growth; ensuring timescales are met, pricing and service designs are completed in line with business strategy and targets
  • Working directly on customer opportunities, attending customer meetings and developing responses to their needs
  • Provide subject matter expertise to bids, and assuring quality of input and overall proposals for bids
  • Champion service management and associated processes and procedures within Capita IT Services, operating within the ITIL frameworks and aligned with ISO2000
  • Document IT Service Management solutions by translating customer requirements and/or contractual obligations into a Service Design that describes the scope of services, delivery model(s), people, processes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and supporting Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) to provide the basis for transition into Business-As-Usual (BAU)
  • Supporting the negotiation and renegotiation of customer contracts relating to IT Service Management, including service models and associated ITIL functions, SLAs/KPIs and Service Recognition and Penalty schemes
  • Produce and Manage Service Descriptions on behalf of teams across IT Services & participate in cost modelling and new business governance
  • Take a lead role in the design of IT Service Management services, demonstrating a high level of understanding with respect to commercial drivers for both the customer and Capita, customer drivers, customer requirements, contractual agreements, service architecture and service operation, for Pre-Sales Opportunities/Bids
