Serves as lead financial expert for mass affluent clients in a given market. Responsible for proactively deepening client relationships and providing well-grounded financial advice to client relationships that are deemed highly complex. Nurtures partnerships with external centers of influence (COIs) to develop relationships with new mass affluent clients. Utilizes objective and sound financially advisory concepts and delivery of holistic offering of Premier solutions and services to the most highly valued mass affluent clients. Aligned closely with Commercial, Wealth, Business Banking partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.    Serves as primary financial expert responsible for top tier mass affluent clients with the most complex client needs in assigned geography/market. Identify and drive a broad range of fee income and Premier banking solutions and services appropriate to mass affluent clients. Deliver a level of personalized, attentive service that clients deem outstanding.
2.    Deliver goal-based financial advice to mass affluent clients with the most complex situations using independent judgement and planning expertise.  Lead implementation of financial planning/goals-based conversations with appropriate Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners.
3.    Be recognized as the champion of Premier within the assigned market.  Collaborate with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners to identify and develop internal and external community relationships (COIs). Advocate for IRM partnerships (Commercial, Business Banking, Financial Advisors, Truist Life, etc.) and ensure a seamless approach to developing, deepening and retaining the client portfolio. 
4.    Lead a team with Premier Client Consultants, branch teammates, and Premier Care center teammates to manage and care for mass affluent clients.  Drive a high velocity of appointments, focusing on delivering advice via goals based planning for clients with complex needs.
5.    Establish and maintain a strong understanding of client financial needs and conditions based upon sound profiling and independent financial planning analysis. Proactively work with financial advisors to adhere to investment and asset allocation objectives and policies.
6.    Keep abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends and general market and business issues impacting mass affluent clients. Proactively provide appropriate comprehensive advice for clients while educating and partnering with their attorneys, Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and trusted professionals. 
7.    Meet new business growth, profitability and retention goals in assigned market, by focusing on acquisition, deepening and retaining of top tier mass affluent clients. Successfully participate in the sales management process, which includes, but is not limited to, support of the Truist segmentation models, full use of the automated sales process and support of referral processes and guidelines. 
8.    Monitor, maintain and update sales activity, pipeline and other pertinent information using the bank’s contact management system.
9.    Work within existing audit, compliance and regulatory framework in order to ensure a high quality, compliant portfolio of client relationships.
10.    Participate in the ongoing implementation and development of the Premier program, including processes, products, services and operating policies and procedures. Provide mentoring to less experienced teammates in support of establishing an extraordinarily high level of professionalism, client service and responsiveness.

 QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business, accounting, finance, banking or equivalent financial services experience and related training
2.    Five years of experience working with mass affluent clients dealing with banking, investments, financial planning, and lending
3.    Advanced knowledge of a broad range of personal financial planning/advisory and investment management/asset allocation concepts and understanding of retail credit and traditional retail bank products for the mass affluent market
4.    Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed minimum performance standards specific to investments and insurance
5.    A minimum of Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), FINRA Series 7, 66 (63 and 65 in lieu of 66) and applicable Insurance licenses (Life, Health, and Variable) must be active and maintained, or must be obtained within 100-150 days of job entry date.  Active FINRA licenses must be transferred within 60 days of job entry date.  Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant with 30 days of employment in this role, including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check
6.    Strong independent thinking, interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills
7.    Strong written, verbal and presentation skills including demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
8.    Ability to thrive and actively participate on a team
9.    Previous experience using industry standard financial planning software

Preferred Qualifications:
1.    Minimum of seven years of experience working with mass affluent clients dealing with banking, investments, financial planning, and lending
2.    Two years of demonstrated leadership ability
3.    Completion of established management or career development program or banking school
4.    Completion or enrollment in professional level certification programs such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Chartered Life Underwriter or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
