AES is currently seeking a Pre-Construction Project Manager to manage the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) ‘Request for Proposal’ (RFP) process for Solar PV, Energy Storage and Wind projects during project development.
The position will focus on managing the bid process and any actions needed to facilitate and secure EPC contract execution. The successful candidate will help coordinate cost reviews, contract negotiations, supply-chain logistics, and cost reconciliations, and will be responsible for the creation of a database for pre-construction and bidding processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the release of RFPs and scope of work bid packages for EPC, Equipment Supplier and Operations & Maintenance contractors. He or she will participate in contractor selection and contract negotiations and will help identify and implement constant improvement initiatives in all the bidding and contractual processes associated with the development of AES’s renewable portfolio.
You will also be responsible for the management of and compliance with supply agreements, including deliverables and milestone requirements. In addition, you will collaborate with other team members to draft and negotiate master services agreements, and execute project purchase orders inclusive of: conditions, scopes, pricing, schedule provisions -all in-line with project requirements.
The Project Manager will be able to work with other functions and disciplines from across the company to understand and evaluate the labor, material and other direct and indirect costs associated with proposed contracts.
