What's the role about?
John Lewis is here to inspire, delight and assure Britain’s shoppers in those moments that matter throughout life, and our Trading, Customer and Channel (Online and Retail) teams are right at the heart of that customer experience. Collectively, and collaborating with Partners in other teams, Partners in this directorate will be responsible for designing and delivering a transformation of our propositions, both in store and online, to restore our profitability and elevate our customer service.
As a Paid Search Manager you will lead our app marketing strategy and supplier funded campaigns performance. You will also own the quality of our marketing product feeds, and lead on PPC special projects. You will be a senior member of the team, working closely with two peers in a team of 10, and reporting into the PPC team lead.

What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the app marketing plan, working closely with PPC execs and the Product teams to achieve acquisition goals.
You will lead supplier funded campaigns strategy and execution, as well as unlocking incremental supplier partnership opportunities.
You will work closely with our feeds platform provider to ensure best possible feeds setup and platform utilisation. You will lead feeds optimisation and experimentation.
You will be our go-to person for PPC automation, testing roadmap, and PPC projects.
You will work closely with the PPC team leader and the large in-house PPC team, and the broader digital & social teams, and marketing teams.
What you’ll have:
Paid search expert with demonstrable experience managing enterprise level accounts across Search, Shopping and App; bid optimisation tools and creating strategy
Proven track record of feed optimisation from methodology to processes and tools.
Experience of creative thinking, delivering inspiring and relevant content whilst managing data
Experienced knowledge of the latest developments within paid search and experience of leading paid search teams, coaching and developing individuals
Experience of multiple stakeholder management
Experience of reviewing numbers and turning insights into actionable plans
What else could you bring?
Demonstrable understanding of how digital marketing channels work and can influence customer engagement
Strong online experience within retail
Experience of acting as a consultant to stakeholders who need deeper understanding of the role of paid search
