Role Description:
Sets and influences the strategic direction of the engineering work. Responsibilities vary from Project Management to Technical Leadership. Delivers visible business benefits through engineering solutions, typically at project level within a category or business unit. This role focuses on platform management for Finished Production Handling (FPH) and Packing.
Ideal candidate has demonstrated strong technical mastery and the ability to develop technical scope to meet project success criteria as well as the ability to deliver projects at cost and on schedule. Success in the role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels, across functions, and at multiple locations.

Travel in Role:
Business travel to plant sites and suppliers will be required and will depend on the needs and phase of the specific projects. Travel should average approximately 20%, with peaks for vendor acceptance tests and plant installations.
Qualifications
Qualifications Education:
BS or MS Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree and/or work-related experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
Engineering execution experience in Power Controls & Information Systems. Experience with packing processes preferred.
Strong leadership skills. Demonstrated project leadership of teams including vendors. Ability to proactively influence project direction, gain enrollment and alignment of other functional groups & key stakeholders. Ability to lead work across central and site locations.
Project Management skills are desired. Candidates without project management certification or PM experience will be considered, but will be expected to work towards their certification while in this role.
Proven ability to develop strong collaborative partnerships across multifunctional teams & organizations. This role will be required to have effective collaboration with Front End Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Plant Engineering, Research & Development, Initiatives Teams, and Modeling & Simulation groups.
Previous experience in a Technical Engineering role at a production facility in a platform managed environment is desired.
Ability to develop and implement standard approaches and work with both internal resources and external vendors to deliver projects.
Technical abilities in assembled products. Leadership and collaboration skills to develop plans, enroll others, and energize them to achieve the objectives. Ability to work systemically, simultaneously considering the needs of multiple stakeholders and the end users.
