The Software Engineer - POS is responsible for providing analytical, development, and configuration support for our Toshiba 4690OS/ACE POS and CHEC Application solutions. We seek those whose ultimate goals are to contribute to moving forward with the latest technologies that POS systems are adopting such as Mobility, Digital Integration, Promotions Execution, etc.

What you will do:

• Support daily activities associated with supporting a retail Point of Sale system
• Review, plan and support implementations, technical changes and package deployments to the Point of Sale and supporting environments
• Assist with the integration of new hardware or software features, including new products or services
• Acts as a technical subject matter expert in the resolution of outages or high priority incidents and serve as an escalation point for more junior support personnel
• Partner with the field support team on unique store issues that arise (ex. slow lanes, hardware, network or power issues, etc.)
• Investigate, troubleshoots and solves problems across various retail environments and systems including IBM 4690 & TCx SKY OS
• Create manuals, knowledgebase articles, flowcharts, diagrams, and other technical Engage and collaborate in vendor relationships, including solution development and support partners
• Support the introduction of new technologies and products within the store sales channel
• Effectively manage and utilize collaboration tools for backlog and issue prioritization such as JIRA
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and market trends within the retail space and make recommendations to align with business strategic initiatives.
• Perform multiple support and project tasks and manages time accordingly
• Perform work in accordance with company information security and assurance policies.
• Participate in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos and retrospectives.
• Must be available to support the business as needed including nights, weekends, after hours and on-call.

• The ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment. 
• 2 plus years of Toshiba ACE experience.
• 2 plus years of Toshiba 4690 OS or TCx SKY OS experience.
• 2 plus years of Java, CHEC and/or SI GUI experince a plus.
