Position Description: The Digital Portfolio Lead will drive a bold vision of connectedness with our commercial and residential customers. The role is responsible for understanding customers’ needs, assessing the market, and integrating digital solutions in our relationship with current customers and future customers.
The role will be the utilities’ subject matter expert on current and burgeoning engagement technologies, digital’s role in transforming energy consumption, business and consumer digital behavior and adoption, collaborating with like colleagues in other AES business units. The Lead will work in concert with customer-facing teams and other portfolio leaders in the utility to ideate, nurture, and bring to the market solutions, services, and products at-scale.
Primary Responsibilities:
Understand the customer value stream, energy uses, and related journey.
Assess customer needs and identify new opportunities for digital solutions to increase connectedness and create value for both customers and AES Utilities.
Articulate and document value proposition of each digital product within the portfolio and champion it with digital and product development teams.
Understand best practice approach to digital product implementation, CX strategy, and UX testing.
Direct product launch strategies with internal and external communications and marketing partners to position the solutions for high customer adoption.
Prioritize and gate the rollout of products to utility customers of AES-driven and third-party digital solutions.
Develop a portfolio of products and services for the utility, including programs and services brought from AES corporate, third parties and as a function of a regulatory mandate.
Drive a customer segmentation strategy to differentiate customers of opportunity for increased revenue from digital products.
Align regulatory policy and legislative recommendations to support AES’s strategy.
Contribute to the broader strategy to create value for customers and becoming their energy partner of the future as a member of the Customer Leadership Team.
Preferred skills and experience:
8-plus years of experience in a digital product development, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., energy, healthcare)
Proven ability to identify opportunity, create strategy where none exists, and bring others into the thinking and the work to achieve targets
Bring an entrepreneurial spirit and zest for innovation to the work daily
Ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs
Ability to lead a project from beginning to successful completion
