We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Portfolio Implementation Specialist, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

The role is to provide support across the Active Equity team on their range of strategies and to implement trading following models provided by the PMs. Working with the investment team to build tools to assist with portfolio and risk management and to support process developments and governance activities across the platform. The role will report to the Senior FMA and will be part of the wider Equities team which runs a number of strategies spanning Global, Emerging and Frontier Markets.

In this role, you will:

  • Support PMs on the Active Equity team by generating cash, performance, fund holdings and trading reports.
  • Load investment decision trades and managing flow related trades following guidelines provided by PMs.
  • Develop tools and reports to assist the PMs
  • Support governance activities across the platform
  • Support process developments and quantitative research across the equities platform
  • Ensure investment guidelines and regulatory and internal compliance requirements are met
  • Support testing of IT projects, including system upgrades and new investment tools.
  • Deal desk, back and middle office liaison.
  • Support fund launches, transitions

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • This is a regulated role requiring the IMC Qualification. If not already held, the role-holder will be required to complete this qualification once in the role.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail under pressure
  • Be comfortable sourcing, checking and working with large volumes of data
  • Experience using Bloomberg and Bloomberg AIM an advantage
  • Coding skills an advantage
  • Knowledge of quantitative methods an advantage
