Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and lead our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.
Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.
As a Global Corporate entity operating in 60+ territories HSBC is under constant pressure to adapt and evolve to the requirements of the regulatory regimes we operate within, coupled with transformation programmes within the Global Businesses (GB) and Global Functions (GFs) this equates to a significant degree of change in a very sophisticated environment.
Group Finance operates a large regulatory application portfolio and is two years into a large transformation programme to fundamentally change our business operating model and migrate our applications to the cloud and we are continuing to improve our global architecture in line with requirements of the Basel III programme. The Group Finance Architecture team is key to ensuring that ongoing regulatory and transformation programmes progress in line with HSBC and Group Finance strategies
We are seeking a Portfolio architect to join our Group Finance Architecture team to perform architecture activities typically occurring in early project/programme definition phases and which we expect will affect multiple Finance platforms and potentially other GB/GFs. These activities must synchronise with our transformation programmes and collaborating with other Platform and Portfolio Architects within the team is key to success.
The role will be Sheffield based but some travel may be required.
