 As a Polymers Chemist, you will provide a vital service through applying the application of scientific and engineering methodologies. You will take ownership of research of development projects to develop new solutions to old Oil and Gas materials challenges. You will prototype and analyze the performance of potential technologies.
 As a Polymers Chemist, you will be responsible for:Â
Conducting research and experiments to analyze data and test hypotheses to gain an understanding of products and processes
Applying sophisticated scientific understanding to research or development problems to provide inventive solutions toward new development efforts
Collaborating with research and manufacturing functions throughout product development cycle projects to ensure successful project delivery
Communicating research results to stakeholders through reports and presentations
Creating and protecting intellectual property for our company to ensure ownership of our products and designs
Working in R&D, product modification, product scale-up, and chemistry troubleshooting
Fuel your passion
 To be successful in this role you will:
Have PhD in Polymer Science or Chemistry
Have 3 years experience in polymer chemistry and polymer synthesis this can also include academic research
Have the ability to develop new test methods for in-depth product characterization
Show a solid understanding of structure-property relationships
Be able to show excellent problem-solving, process improvement and analytical skills
Demonstrate a basic understanding of project management
Have excellent written and verbal English skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Be able to travel to visit customers or Baker Hughes locations
