The Department of Security and Environment with its 440 employees includes the areas of the city police, protection & intervention, registration and civil status, environmental and health protection as well as the city judge's office.

Your tasks

With around 250 employees, the city police are committed to a safe and trustworthy Winterthur. We are looking for motivated police officers to give traffic instructions with immediate effect or by appointment. In traffic instruction, you can expect a wide range of activities in an exciting and interesting environment. Your main tasks include:

• Giving traffic lessons in kindergartens, schools and vocational schools
• Training for the traffic service, traffic signalling, as well as public relations and back-to-school campaigns
• Contact and advice center for children, young people, schools, parents, senior citizens as well as authorities and associations
• Ensuring the quality of traffic instruction through targeted training and further education
• Carrying out core police tasks (controls, PAZ, OD etc.)

your profile

• Completed training as a police officer (federal FA/certificate; returnees welcome)
• Interested in working with children, young people and school authorities
• Initiative Personality who is used to working independently and is motivated to bring in and implement new ideas
• Very good communication skills with a high degree of empathy
• Willingness to work weekends, nights and special assignments
