What you will do:

• Support the PMO function in ensuring the required level of PMO governance and control is applied to the Portfolio / Programmes you are assigned to in alignment with Capita’s best practice framework.
• Provide guidance and direction to the relevant Stakeholders (e.g. Programme and Senior Project Managers) on the completion of Evolve and PMO framework templates and documents.
• Maintain a forecast of supply and demand across the Account / Portfolios, which will include Project and Work Order requests. You will also support capacity planning of delivery teams and 3rd Parties, tracking resource utilisation vs. allocation.
• Process project finances at project and Work Order Level, analyze variances against forecast v actuals and earned value to ensure financial cover is maintained.
• Ongoing management and monitoring of Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies (RAID) and lessons learned logs for your allocated projects/programmes via regular engagement.
• Produce weekly status reports for management meetings and MI and reporting packs for executive board management meetings to facilitate fact-based decision making.

Your experience will include:

• Proven experience in a Project Management / PMO environment working in a highly regulated industry such as banking or insurance is advantageous but other industry sectors will be considered.
• Certification in a project management qualification, especially PRINCE2 Practitioner and P3O is highly desirable.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS office applications including MS Word, Excel (e.g.  macros, data manipulation VLOOPUPs etc. for data analysis and reporting), PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint or Microsoft Teams.
• Strong stakeholder management capability at all levels combined with the ability to adapt communication styles to ensure the right outcomes are achieved.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines / schedules, whilst being methodical with excellent attention to detail alongside exceptional organisational skills.
• Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills.
