As a PMO Analyst with Capita Project Services, you will enjoy a varied role engaged on a wide range of projects and programmes. You will be responsible for providing specialist hands-on support for programme and project managers, playing a proactive role in knowledge management to promote programme and project management methods and standards, and the implementation of PMO best practice. Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

• ensuring the required level of PMO governance and control is applied to the Portfolio / Programme in alignment with Capita’s best practice framework

• providing advice and guidance to the relevant Stakeholders (e.g. Programme and Senior Project Managers) on the completion of Evolve and PMO framework templates and documents

• initiating and managing RAID and lessons learned logs through regular engagement and challenge with the Portfolio / Programme teams and advising/escalating on key areas where required

• maintaining a forecast of supply and demand across the Portfolio / Programme, which will include Project and Work Order requests. You will also support capacity planning of delivery teams and 3rd Parties, tracking resource utilisation vs. allocation

• producing weekly status reports for management meetings together with supporting relevant MI, as well as contributing to the production of Executive board reporting packs, providing the required support for governance meetings which will facilitate fact-based decision making

• taking a proactive role in the ongoing development and improvement of the PMO service, system, processes, tools and templates provided to all programmes and projects

• working as part of the PMO team to deliver exceptional service to Stakeholders by providing support, advice, challenge and skills development

• supporting the PMO Manager in the day to day delivery of PMO management activities

What we’re looking for:

• PMO knowledge together with experience of working in a project or programme environment.  Prior roles in a regulated industry such as banking or insurance would be advantageous.

• Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels as well as being able to communicate and influence others to achieve the right outcomes.

• Collation of governance reports.

• Knowledge of project management best practice frameworks, preferably PRINCE2 and P3O.

• Good working knowledge of MS office applications including MS Word, Excel (practical experience of using for data manipulation, e.g.  pivot tables, simple formulas etc. for data analysis and reporting), PowerPoint, Outlook.

• Ability to work to tight deadlines / schedules, whilst being methodical with excellent attention to detail alongside exceptional organisational skills.

• Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills.
