Joining an already successful, collaborative, Costa Express  Product Development Team, your role will be the Product Lifecycle Management Engineer. This role will implement all engineering aspects of global Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) on products intended for an international market which have transitioned out of design/development and have moved into or beyond SoP (Start of Production).  It will cover growth, maturity/stability, and eventually the managed obsolescence of the product ranges.  Strategic direction will

be provided by the PLCM Lead and the Head of Engineering & PLCM.
 

Innovation remains a key objective of this role to ensure our product offering remains cutting edge and market leading.  In-service equipment generates the revenue, which is used to invest in new global platforms, and therefore in-service products must be optimised to maximise the financial return. Diving straight into the cut and thrust of operating in a fast-paced engineering and retail environment where the focus is on delivering on our significant yet exciting International growth plans.  You’ll confidently build and enhance key working relationships with our market stakeholders and help to drive project and programme success.

A bit about the role...
 

This role will initially cover PLCM on a range of existing product platforms and it is anticipated that further products will fall within the responsibility of the PLCM Engineer as new products move out of design/development and into SoP.

Key activities include:

• Investigating and proactively delivering solutions to complex engineering challenges with electro-mechanical products
• Innovating across the in-service products to maintain competitive edge and support our bold growth plans
• Implementing change in accordance with the process for PLCM
• Optimising in-service reliability
• Change Control to fully document all changes and their point of embodiment
• Configuration Management on product variants and market-specific variants
• Creating and maintaining robust data management through appropriate repositories to ensure traceability of build standard
