Job Description
As Plant Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations to exceed our customers’ expectations and requirements in term of quantity, quality and innovation
- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining quality standards
- Allocating resources, utilizing assets and developing systems & processes that track and optimize productivity standards and metrics performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
- Reviewing established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
- Maintaining inventory levels and controlling flow of product
- Maintaining and supporting a superior safety and housekeeping program, including all timely communication initiatives
- Analyzing workforce requirements; conducting performance appraisals and providing coaching and guidance to all operations employees
- Coordinating with MR for resolving any problem which hinders the smooth functioning of Integrated Management System
- Monitoring computation and distribution of day-to-day production program on daily and monthly basis
- Keeping an eye on yield loss points and control them on top priority
- Communicating with research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies
- Removing waste and constraints from the production processes to improve efficiencies / effectiveness and enhance productivity by encouraging and promoting continuous improvement environment at the plant
- Suggesting/proposing any development ideas for improvement in equipment or process
- Leading team to drive application of effective and efficient techniques to deliver on time completion of targets and reducing machine downtime at plant
- Staying up to date on latest technologies and developments to ensure that our teams are equipped with best knowledge and has access to relevant expertise and facilities
- Managing department within agreed budgets and continuously explore ways to optimize costs
- Working closely with quality personnel to review product consistency while monitoring wastage and rejections to determine trends and areas of improvement
- Coordinating with the Company HR and Admin Functions for hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel as well as maintaining strong employee engagement
- Ensuring all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies, practices and necessary procedures to provide a safe workplace for the employees at the plant
- Exhibiting exemplary leadership in maintaining and achieving Environment, Health and Safety excellence in his areas of responsibilities including safety of contractors’ workforce employed at plant
- Ensuring compliance of all regulatory policies and procedures at the plant

Qualified candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Proven experience in operations within process industry; international experience would be a plus
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, HAZOP, MS, Equipment Validation, Plant commissioning / Modifications / Optimization / De-bottlenecking, Safety, Health & Environmental procedures / inspections, Root Cause Analysis, Budgeting, Cost Control Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma implementation, Technical Process, Facility Planning Procedure, Business Continuity Planning and cross functional team management
- Sound understanding of SAP
- Fluency in English language
