Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and document strategy for dispute resolution
- Resolve disputes through negotiation and settlement or defense in a dispute resolution forum
- Review arbitration requests and lawsuits to determine actions warranted
- Consults and negotiates with legal counsel - in house and external
- Process arbitration decisions and review arbitration requests and lawsuits to determine defense or settlement
- Resolve disputes on unpaid medical bills via settlement or defense based on findings in file review
- Documents and forwards hearing notices
- Review and respond to defense bills, settlement terms and other communication
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Instead of a degree, a minimum of five years of relevant work experience (e.g., claims adjuster in medical claims or other relevant claims experience, position that developed or required the ability to think critically, solve problems, effectively communicate verbally and in writing, and embrace new challenges)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in PIP and/or PIP Litigation
Compensation
- $58,000 - $65,000/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
