As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be empowered to engage patients, insurance companies, and multiple departments to process orders and ensure timely shipment of medications.  This role is very detail oriented and you’ll spend the majority of your day working on our computer system and a phone queue receiving inbound calls and making outbound calls.  In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to work with Multiple Sclerosis patients and help them obtain medications to keep them in remission and live healthier lives.

What you’ll do:

• Take verbal prescription orders from prescribers
• Make outbound calls for clarification on orders as needed
• Data entry of new prescriptions and fax responses
• Handle confidential information in an appropriate manner
• Adhere to all pharmacy legal requirements as directed
• Professionally handle phone calls to prescribers or patients as needed
• Work escalated orders with a sense of urgency

What you’ll need:

• High School diploma or GED
• A valid TN state pharmacy technician license and national certification
• 2+ years relevant experience
• 1+ years’ experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
• Basic math skills
• Proficient PC knowledge (Microsoft Office)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

We expect the shift for this role will be Monday-Friday 1:00PM – 10:00PM CST.

This role is Flex/WFHwhich allows most work to be performed at homeor on occasion at a Cigna office location.  Employees mustbe fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

NOTE: This role is expected to start virtually and may return to the Memphis, TN office once Covid restrictions are lifted.  As we are currently training in a work at home environment, you will be required to have reliable internet connectivity provided through a wired connection.  A mobile or hot spot environment is not acceptable and you may need to purchase an Ethernet cord depending on your current set up.  *Must reside in Tennessee in order to perform this job in a virtual capacity.
