The Boeing Defense, Space and Security, Phantom Works division is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Berkeley, MO, or Saint Charles, MO.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, producibility studies, production planning and tooling philosophies for developmental products.
Leads product manufacturing qualification activities in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Develops manufacturing plans from product definition in a Model Based Engineering environment
Resolves complex & emergent technical problems quickly and efficiently while eliminating root cause.
Develops and implements new engineering processes, command media, theories and implements advanced technologies.
Supports product development process & influences product design to enable advanced manufacturing approaches, automation implementation and producibility enhancements.
Leads and motivates production engineering teams and partners with design and production operations teams to develop manufacturing plans that are efficient and executable
Consults on lean principles and technologies for enterprise wide initiatives.
Documents and communicates design for manufacturing and producibility best practices.
Informs senior management on long-range planning & investment requirements.
Establishes procedures, standards, protocols and reporting requirements.
Develops manufacturing processes and instructions to enable efficient prototyping solutions
Development and presentation of plans, progress and metrics to communicate build strategy and execution to plan
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Confidential Clearance Post-Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
15 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years\' related work experience, Master+12 years\' related work experience).
5+ years working in a aerospace manufacturing environment.
Extensive knowledge of manufacturing materials, process, technologies and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing and associated tooling, inspection and testing methodologies with emphasis on large scale prototyping applications
Aerospace new product development and prototyping experience
Experience with NX/Unigraphics CAD and Teamcenter PDM systems for design interrogation, manufacturing planning development and tooling design review
Experience implementing lean principles to optimize and transition prototype approaches to production processes
Experience leading and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years\' related work experience, Master+12 years\' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
