PHD INTERN FOR MICROBIAL REPELLENCY

This role leverages unique technical mastery against a specific technical need. The key project will be to study a new approach for germ protection through microorganism repellency. The candidate will guide and influence technical project direction, and solve significant technical problems by leveraging scientific/engineering skills and strong foundational R&D understanding developed through hands-on experimentation/application.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

We are looking for a PhD Candidate in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology.

• Is technically rigorous in their lab work and acts with a sense of urgency
• Able to work independently, formulate hypotheses, develop test plans, problem solve, and think critically about their data
• Has excellent written and oral communication skills, and documents work in electronic laboratory notebooks and written reports
• Is comfortable with the uncertainty of an upstream R&D environment
• Has strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Experience in microbial method development or interfacial characterization techniques or physical organic principles, especially the interaction of molecules with cells/organism is desired.
