Position Summary

Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) - Personal Consultation Senior Analyst (Onboarding Preclearance Team)

Work you’ll do

As a Personal Consultation Senior Analyst on the Onboarding Preclearance team, you’ll use your interpersonal, analytical, research, and investigative skills to:

  • Work closely with ICN Managers and PPMD’s on the independence review and onboarding of senior level candidates seeking admission to Deloitte as a Partner, Principal or Managing Director (PPMD)
  • Review financial and other information submitted via the Deloitte Independence Review (DIR) system from PPMD candidates
  • Document independence analysis and conclusions regarding personal financial interests, close relative employment positions, outside activity employment positions, and Board of Director positions
  • Lead independence calls with the PPMD candidates to review findings, gather additional information and advise them on their independence compliance requirements upon admission to Deloitte
  • Assist ICN Managers and PPMD’s on independence analyses as well as further development of onboarding processes
  • Participate in internal team meetings including collaboration with internal stakeholders to track onboarding progress and developments
  • Assist in the further development of procedures, and testing and implementation of improvements, for the DIR system
  • Prepare materials containing independence information for use at meetings and trainings

Independence & Conflicts Network

The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) Personal Consultation team performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing service to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte US Firms and personal independence is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors’ degree (preferably business, finance or accounting)
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Positive customer service attitude and dedication to quality, with a demonstrated attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong oral and written communications
  • With the support of a team leader, be able to work on multiple initiatives, report and communicate progress
  • Ability to react positively to an environment where priorities and deadlines can quickly change
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • An understanding of independence requirements for professional auditing firms
  • Experience working in a large corporation or accounting firm
