Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a People Analytics Consultant, Human Resources (HR) Analytics, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

The HR Analytics team provides data driven insights and analysis for all stages of the employee life-cycle in order to enhance business performance through better people decision making. The role will achieve this by consulting with the business on the human capital issues they face, and connecting them with the appropriate HR data analysis, commentary and insight to help shape actions or interventions that are required to make a positive business impact.

The HR Analytics team delivers actionable information to ensure the people agenda and business strategy are aligned by enabling the clear visualisation of standardised metrics and critical trends that speak to a range of HR topics including strategic workforce planning, resourcing, learning, talent development, succession planning, diversity, values, employee insight, performance and reward.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the portfolio of available workforce information, standardised metrics and analytics spanning the entire employee lifecycle
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to discuss and clarify requests, problem solve, highlight issues, present findings and propose recommendations
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business domain, its strategic direction and drive usage of standardised metrics and analytics to enhance evidence-based decision making
  • Effectively generate and analyse people data sets to assess the cause and effect of trends and anomalies
  • Securely deliver and present relevant trends in clear, succinct reports and dashboards to key stakeholders and demonstrate the implications of these trends on the business
  • Utilise a variety of technology, systems and analytical tools to analyse enterprise-wide people data
  • Develop relevant analytical models to address business or HR concerns
  • Develop appropriate visual tools to help effectively communicate insights and business intelligence to drive business decisions and actions

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • A background or education in business, finance / economics, information systems, computer science, mathematics, statistics, industrial and organisational psychology or related field is preferred
  • Experience in people analytics is preferred, business intelligence, data mining or organisational design. Knowledge and understanding of financial services an advantage
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills - understand how individual pieces of data relate to and influence one another; the ability to identify important patterns in seemingly disparate sources of data
  • Ability to assess the validity of data sets and cross-reference with alternative data sources
  • Ability to visualise complex data into clear charts or info-graphics that facilitate effective decision making
  • Advanced Excel skills i.e. complex formulae, conditional formatting, dashboards and charting
  • Excellent communication skills: clear oral and written skills; effective questioning; active listening
  • Excellent problem solving skills: diagnosing the business problem and shaping the analysis to solve for it
