Delivering excellence as a Pensions Technician within Capita Pensions Solutions:
We are currently looking to recruit a Pensions Technician to join the Teachers’ Pensions Policy and Technical Team (TP PATT).
Working at our bright modern offices at Lingfield point, you’ll work on the Teachers’ Pensions (TP) contract ensuring work is completed in line with service level agreements and providing a continually improving level of customer service in terms of quality, cost and time.
Capita administer the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) on behalf of the Department for Education. Covering England and Wales, it’s the second largest public sector pension scheme, with just over 2 million members and we engage with over 11,000 employers who are part of our scheme.
What you’ll be doing:
Be fully conversant with the Teachers’ Pension Regulations, the overriding legislation governing pension schemes and the TPS decision document.
Liaise with regulatory bodies (such as the Pensions Ombudsman, the Pensions Advisory Service and the Pensions Regulator) as part of casework.
Undertake complex casework
Handle the escalation of complaint cases to the Internal Disputes Resolution Procedure (IDRP)
Respond to Subject Access Requests
Provide excellent customer service to all clients, members and third parties in line with service level agreements.
Work to agreed procedures, within set key performance indicators and service level agreements.
Analyse and respond to referrals from operational areas
What we’re looking for:
Previous pension administration experience, particularly with regards to pension legislation
Administration, IT and customer service skills
Excellent written English skills.
Track record of achieving targets
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
A flexible approach to work at all times and adaptable to varying demands and workloads with a commitment to ensure tasks are completed to deadline.
