The successful Accounting Coordinator candidate will be able to apply generally accepted accounting principles GAAP to provide support to Yum Payroll operations by completing general accounting activities and assisting ADP in researching data and ensuring employment tax compliance with federal and state tax authorities.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Oracle sub-system to ensure accuracy and timely completion to balance, identify and resolve out of balance conditions, and post to the General Ledger the weekly and bi-weekly payroll processes.
• Prepare, analyze and research monthly account reconciliations, including bank accounts, accrued payroll accounts and prepare monthly Journal Entries as needed for accounts reconciliations.
• Coordinate with ADP for the transmission of files, reviewing ADP amounts for accuracy, compiling reports for special filings, true up quarterly via appropriate journal entries and approving the final sign-off with ADP.
• Analyze, review & research IRS and other taxing jurisdiction notices (i.e., penalty, levy, tax due, etc.) and communicate with the IRS and other taxing jurisdictions to resolve notices
• Ability and flexibility to adapt to a changing environment supporting multiple pay-cycles, along with collaborating with other teams/departments, including payroll processing, IT, control, A/P, etc.
• Communicate with & support all levels of customers in the organization from team members to Executives

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting/Finance/HR (CPA, MBA or advanced degree a plus)
• 3 years minimum; public or private industry accounting, finance experience.
• Advanced Skills for data extraction/manipulation required using various tools such as Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Payroll system and JD Edwards General Ledger systems a plus
