Job Description

Responsible for payroll data support collection and processing, continuous development of operational procedures, audit requests, special pay processing, employee assistance, and projects as assigned.
Essential Functions
- Manages the performance of the Division Payroll Team
- Accesses computer-based systems to input, review, extract, and interpret timekeeping entries
- Creates, updates, and maintains Excel spreadsheets to collect, interpret, and trend data to assist with management decision making
- Maintains paid time off balance tracking database, makes paid time off entries, and responds to queries
- Identifies opportunities to continuously improve, reduce errors, and build standard processes
- Liaison with Operational Leaders to identify best practices, communicate process changes, and make plans
- Communicates with Operational Leads, Supervisors, and Manager to collect time keeping data and payroll information
- Responds to and resolves escalated employee payroll concerns
- Investigates, reports, and resolves payroll discrepancies
- Liaison with Corporate Payroll Team to identify best practices, share challenges, and recommend process changes
- Directs Division Payroll team to prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports and audits
- Trains Division Leads, Supervisors, and Managers on using company payroll software and timekeeping practices
- Coordinates employee direct deposit enrollment with Division HR Team
- Ensures timely distribution of physical paychecks where applicable
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and company payroll procedures
- Supports all internal and external audits related to payroll
Minimum Requirements
- Strong analytical skills and proactive mentality
- Highly organized, efficient, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
- Ability to acknowledge and prioritize high-volume communications in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with frontline employees and management
- Eager to learn new systems and teach others
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint skills to store, present, and analyze data in support of analysis and reporting
- 5 years of payroll process experience, preferably in service or personnel industries and with 1,000+ employees
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Aviation experience preferred
- Must submit to and pass a drug screen
- Must meet all the requirements to receive required airport security badge and US Customs and Boarder
- Patrol clearance, including a successful completion of a background check and 10-year work history
