Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Payroll Implementation Lead (UK), working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role Purpose

The Payroll Implementation Lead (UK) will be managing the end-to-end implementation and transition of International Assignee payroll processes from the existing supplier to a new supplier working at the direction of the Global Payroll Governance team whilst supporting the Global Mobility team and local payroll teams in ensuring all local regulatory requirements and globally defined policies are adhered to.

In this role, you will:

  • Deploy the standard directed Project Management framework, other Business Transformation Frameworks (BTF) within the project and adhere to HR change mandated processes
  • Lead and present a holistic view across change impacts and interventions; Risk, Assumption, Issues, Dependency and Decisions (RAIDD) management; financial planning and tracking (including benefits tracking as appropriate)
  • Provide support, guidance and direction across multiple workstreams / BDUs that form the project, ensuring alignment to scope, governance structures implemented, and to agreed timelines
  • Support the payroll leads and local payroll teams (in scope) by running the end to end implementation, identifying any improvements and efficiencies to process in conjunction with the Global Payroll Governance team
  • Identify and escalate to key stakeholders within the programme, any issues associated with the application of processes, local legislative issues, HR policies and initiatives affecting the implementation
  • Complete timely and accurate status updates as directed by the Global Payroll Governance Team
  • Globally lead the transition of International Assignee payroll processes ensuring payroll impact (and upstream and downstream process impact) is fully understood and that the project aligns to group payroll strategy / standards and is fully compliant with local country regulations
  • Identify and track resolution of risks and issues, ensuring all have clearly defined time-bound mitigation plans and with clear ownership

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Proven experience of implementing a new processes and suppliers with multiple payroll teams from different jurisdictions
  • Validated experience in leading and implementing new payroll systems / process, with ability to plan and lead Payroll ‘UAT’, ‘Integration Acceptance Testing’ and ‘Payroll Parallel Testing’
  • Previous payroll operational experience with internationally mobile employees.
  • SAP Successfactors experience and an understanding of integrated platforms
  • Fluent in English (additional languages would be advantageous)
  • Proven ability to demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, influencing, facilitation and stakeholder management skills across all levels of management
  • Deep understanding of operational risk and experience in identifying and implementing controls to mitigate such risks
  • Proven project management and LEAN skills with experience in re-engineering payroll processes and delivering continuous improvement
