Job Title: Partnerships Manager – Sport
Job Purpose:
Manage VMO2’s (Virgin Media / O2) partnerships across sport including England Rugby, Southampton Football Club, sport in Priority and Paralympics GB. Ensure we deliver exceptional ROI, super-charge Priority and create brand fame, making VMO2 famous.
Working closely with our sport partners you’ll create inspiring marketing campaigns that increase our Priority database and make customers want to become part of or stay with VMO2.
Support the Head of Sport Partnerships & Sponsorship creating our annual sports strategy and plan. Manage agency partners. Ensure rights-holders fulfil our contractual agreements.
The Partnerships and Sponsorship team is world-leading, underpinning our brand differentiation through unique offers, experiences and rewards for our customers via Priority. Giving VMO2 an outstanding position in the music, sport, entertainment and cultural fabric of the UK.
Key Accountabilities:
Evolve and deliver the VMO2 sports strategy, planning and budgets
Manage day to day RFU – O2 & England Rugby, VM & England Rugby via Priority, Southampton Football Club & Paralympics GB
Lead @O2sports social channels including media budget planning and content strategy, supported by the social media team
Manage our sport industry relationships & internal comms
Be the interface with the wider VMO2 directorates to utilise sport and our partnerships rights across our new business, internally and externally
VMO2 Business relationships relating to sport
The must haves:
Strong sponsorship activation experience working on high-profile partnerships
Knowledge, insight and passion for maximising sponsorship rights to deliver industry-leading, fully integrated campaigns
Experience managing rights holders and agency partners
Track record working across sports social channels, generating quality content
Sports industry knowledge, expertise and strong contacts
Ability to manage annual plans and budgets for high-profile partnerships
Build strong working relationships, excellent team-working and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
