Position Summary
Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to scheduling problems. Provides generally non-routine scheduling guidance to projects. Supports and promotes improvement measures and implementation of recommendations for the global business unit. Supports organizational and administrative activities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining the Engineering and Procurement Schedules utilizing Primavera and Ecosys
- Detailed schedule development duties include: establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper work flow logic ties, and maintaining alignment between the Level 3 and Level 5 schedules
- Routine analysis and work around option planning along with interface coordination with the construction scheduler will be required
- Input to the Monthly Progress Report and issuance of the weekly schedule analysis report
- Supervision of the implementation and maintenance of the Engineering Progress and Performance (EPP) system using Ecosys software
- Prepares and coordinates the development of staffing plans for planning and scheduling activities, reviews contracts drafts for scheduling requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 9 years experience in Planner/Scheduling Engineering and Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and analysis to PC, other groups, Bechtel Management, and Client Management
- Leadership skills, supervisory skills, and the ability to adapt project controls principles into a multi-company environment is essential
- A working knowledge of planning work processes related to cost engineering activities is required
- Familiarity with Bechtel standards, procedures, organization and automated systems preferred
