Job Accountabilities

• Operates automatic Palletizer/De-palletizer equipment within the plant.
• Ensures quality of finished package to include: cans placed correctly on pallets per customer order, manually insert cans to complete proper layer patterns, removes minor jams and reports major jams and/or irregularities to Maintainer or Supervisor
• Ability to recognize can defects; follows procedure for defect recognition and communication, collects and documents information on cans (50 per hour)
• Communicates timely and effectively; advises lift driver when supplies are needed and to remove defective supplies.
• Maintains log of production and/or downtime, spoilage as required.
• Using computerized system, makes label (tickets) for pallets
• Performs preventative maintenance and Housekeeping to include cleaning the Palletizer, plungers and fingers.
• Knowledge of measurements and specifications of cans.
• Successfully follows all standard operating procedures; company policies and procedures; good attendance is required.
• Ensures compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing  Practices) at all times
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports all problems to supervision.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.  The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance.  The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repetitively.  Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, color differentiation, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
