Develops and manages multiple, complex information technology (IT) project plans and deliverables. Provides input to determine complex project scope, schedule and budget baselines based on an understanding of the system development lifecycle. Negotiates changes to project baselines. Conducts design reviews. Manages the incorporation of quality management systems for IT projects. Monitors project deliverables to ensure compliance with quality standards. Identifies and negotiates for necessary resources to meet project goals. Develops and executes project communication plans. Leads activities to identify project risks and develop mitigation plans. Identifies need for vendor-provided products and services. Coordinates and oversees supplier activities.

The Boeing Company’s Technology Integration and Operations team is currently seeking a P-8A Training Systems – Senior IT Product Owner to join their team.

The Technical Product Owner will lead groups of IT experts utilizing Agile methodology and deep technical knowledge. This person will create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, create actionable user stories, participate in daily scrum meetings, answer technical questions, work to remove impediments, accept the finished user stories, participate in iteration retrospectives, all while ensuring the DoD (Definition of Done) is being followed.

This position is based out of St. Louis, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Understand complex technical challenges and make educated trade-offs with your team.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches and processes.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for complex issues.
  • Maintains the team backlog, iteration planning and story collaboration
  • Applies behavior-driven development, accept stories and drive decisions.
  • Evaluates and effectively communicates complex system problems and resolution.
  • Leads the handling of service requests from the user community.
  • Leads architecture design studies for technology implementation.
  • Leads on-site, in-person hardware installation, cabling, and configuration.
  • POAM updates
  • CAM\EVM Reporting

Additionally, this role will provide technical leadership in the following areas:

  • Build, load, Configure Network Switches to Support all Device Installation
  • Creating Microsoft Windows baseline images
  • Conducting Information Assurance scans and remediation
  • Electronic Classroom infrastructure setup
  • VMWare and storage installations\configurations

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • 3+ years of experience leading or performing the activities of complex IT programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • IT Infrastructure experience supporting desktop, server, storage or network hardware and software component
  • Experience working with COTS Integration in a Linux or Windows environment
  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
