 The Orientation Module Subject Matter Expert (SME) role is focused on providing engineering and technical guidance and direction relating to Reuter-Stokes Downhole Technology Product Line. This role offers a unique mix of technical and commercial challenges and responsibilities with the opportunity for direct customer interface while crafting solutions specific to the customer’s application requirements.

 As a Orientation Module Subject Matter Expert, you will be responsible for:

• Specifying, configuring and/or designing the Reuter-Stokes orientation module product offering to meet customer’s requirements.
• Supporting new equipment / upgrades from purchase through installation
• Developing and maintain manufacturing, assembly, and testing specifications and procedures
• Participating in NPI (New Product Introduction) programs consisting of design, development, design reviews and manufacturing implementation
• Driving improvements in assembly, test setups, yield at test, test automation, storage, and retrieval of data
• Reviewing the customer’s technical specifications, including formal RFQ\'s (Request for Quote), working closely with Product Line Leadership and the sales team to prepare detailed proposals for competitive solutions
• Supporting product line team with technical presentations and demonstrations both remotely and at customer sites
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, vendors and internal cross functional teams as necessary, to ensure product quality and performance through the product lifecycle
• Attending meetings, as necessary, with the Product Line, Sales, Supply Chain & Project Management teams

Fuel your passion
 To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Have a minimum 8 years of experience in an engineering capacity and/or field engineer
• Be able to travel 75% of the time as required

Desired Characteristics:

• Extensive experience with Oil & Gas downhole drilling applications
• Ability to define and communicate interrelationships between component design and system performance
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills
• Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
• Effective problem identification and solution skills
• Direct customer contact experience
