Accountabilities

  • Monitor all critical operating parameters and make adjustments to the process as necessary
  • Follow Batch instructions and procedures
  • Safely handle (loading and unloading of bulk trucks, totes and drums) hazardous chemicals Caustic soda, Sodium Metal bisulfite, Bis-A Resin, Epichlorohydrin, Solvents
  • Follow safe operating procedures and review and offer updates as necessary

Requirements:

•Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
•Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
•High School diploma or Equivalent
•Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
•Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
•Basic use of a computer
•Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
•Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
•At least 1 year of experience in production related work
•Ability to work 12 hours shifts
•Ability to work in elevated areas ( four feet and above)
•Ability to work inin varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE
•Ability to identify and report safety risk

Preferred:

• Forklift certified
• Prior HAZ CHEM/ Chemical industry strongly preferred
• Understanding or prior experience with SAP, or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
• Ability to read and understand safety data sheets (SDS)
• Prior technical /repair experience
• Willing and able to cross-train in other, similar positions at the plant
• Ability to troubleshoot basic processes
• Ability to read and follow procedures
