An Operator Assistant will have a good idea of manufacturing, operating and safety practices - always using Mars’ Five Principles to guide them. You’ll be comfortable with spending lots of time on your feet in a climate-controlled plant. Constantly giving attention to detail, you’ll also have high standards for quality products - looking out for where we can improve, too.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who loves being active in their job - sitting at a desk all day isn’t for you
• At least six months of experience in a manufacturing setting or a high school diploma

• What will be your key responsibilities?

• From quality checks to accurate reports, you’ll play a vital role in our Greenville factory. In line with our Efficiency Principle, you’ll be passionate about ensuring little goes to waste - and will thrive working as part of a team. Additional responsibilities include:

• Ensuring a high degree of product quality - performing standard quality checks and following plan GMP’s
• Listing the major responsibilities, in order of priority and importance to the overall job
• Operating and changing over Batching Packaging and Line Supply Equipment
• Performing Quality Checks to include weighing, sealing, appearance, proper material, codes, dates, and relative standards for a quality product
• Maintaining neat, accurate reports on production downtime; weights, tickets, quality checks and all other reports
• Performing minor adjustments on package machines and communicating with machine adjusters and Maintenance Associates
• Maintaining efficient production and keep waste and spoilage materials to a minimum
• Providing packaging materials for lines, completing rework and breaking up damaged product
• Packing RTH pouch product into cases
