Job Description

  • Corporate based work with Production Planning Team.
    • Develop an understanding of the CAPP corporate planning process, document workflows, develop improvement opportunities.
    • Project work to include creation of unified system for materials management.
    • Collaboration with Sales team including time with Sales Team to understand the sales forecasting process.
    • Collaboration with Customer Service Representatives including time with CSR Team to understand the sales order and release process.
    • Collaboration with Crown Sourcing team to gain understanding of processes both internally and from our suppliers
    • Collaboration with Crown Logistics team to gain understanding of inner workings of transportation activities including scheduling and routing
  • Plant based work with Production Control/Shipping Managers.
    • Understand scheduling/planning process.
      • Customer Orders.
      • Release process.
      • Scheduling Meetings with Operations, Suppliers and Customers
      • Customer specific shipping/order specifications.
      • Interface with warehouses.

Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or any other related discipline
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an supply chain, planning, operations or engineering role (this could include Internships or Co-op assignments)
  • Must have the flexibility to travel during this rotational Seed Program as well as having the flexibility to relocate after coming off the program to take on any advancement opportunities when and where they become available
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to support assigned projects

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Superior systems skills including database creation and management. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams software platforms
  • Superior oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to completion
  • Must be growth seeking, flexible and willing to engage in self-paced, self-determined continuous learning
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • Well organized and detail oriented with outstanding time management skills
  • Must be willing to teach others what you have learned
  • Must be punctual with attendance and assignments
