The Operations Team Coachposition is responsible for building and continuously improving team health (improving team effectiveness and achievement of business results) across the facility/business through operational excellence. In the role, you will be responsible to leverage their business knowledge and relationships to coach teams on transforming departmental goals into measurable results through challenging the team and by selecting tools and methodologies that drive a culture of long-term, sustainable success. This includes knowledge of the facility in efforts to build relationships at the plant leadership level by understanding their day- to day issues both operationally and personally supporting the team structure through coaching of site leadership and department technicians, as well as supporting safety, food safety, environmental, and quality requirements. This position works closely with all site teams in supporting operations through Operational Excellence, Continuous Improvement, and Site Leadership efforts. Additionally, this position is a change leader enabling successful change efforts.
Working relationships with site leadership; participates in site leadership meetings and site strategy planning process.
Applies understanding through knowledge of plant happenings, brings perspective around implications of business decisions and connects to end users.
Acts as a subject matter expert to provide fundamental coaching in people leadership as well as deliver feedback to operations supervisors, managers, and process engineer.
Serves as a resource to supervisors and team leaders/managers to assess team dynamics, drive cultural decisions and develop tactics to strengthen teams and ensure team is tracking to site strategic roadmap. Understand and use tools to help in the development of these tactics.
Drives and executes Team Health strategies and process across site teams to achieve business goals using Cargill Leadership Expectations, high performance work team principles, and Operational Excellence powered by TRACC.
Develops plans for continuous improvement of team health, including actions that drive accountability and sustainable, long-term success. Facilitates and coaches site teams to deliver improvement in capabilities and in execution.
Lead or participate in change meetings, utilizes change template toolkit to message critical changes to site; leads local change network, engagement mtgs., and act as inclusion leads to help build and sustain an inclusive and engaged workforce.
Facilitate two-way communications between employees and business leadership.
Drive continuous improvement and culture change through best practice sharing, vocal advocacy, and visible leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years operational or functional experience
Experience in manufacturing/operations
Experience leading/facilitating a team
Experience with supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline
