Job Description

Responsible for Assemblers and Drivers performance, operational, quality and the regulatory aspects of the Airline Catering Commissary. Oversees the staff and manages resources, schedules and performance issues. Responsible for production schedules, timeliness and quality of the product and service.

  • Leads employees, ultimately responsible for all operational aspects of Beverage and Equipment Assembly and Transportation, including truck fleet utilization, scheduling, attendance, accident investigation and safety awareness.
  • Executes department goals and objectives to support commissary and corporate initiatives.
  • Oversees commissary quality, productivity, overall performance, food safety compliance, regulatory compliance and safety programs while on duty.
  • Leads and influences commissary leadership to ensure corporate and local policy and procedures are implemented and maintained. • Plays significant role of fostering teamwork and innovation in order to implement and improve production and delivery processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to work various shifts within a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to pass security background check and successfully obtain a SIDA Badge with US Customs Hologram and DR1 driving privileges.
  • Knowledge of catering operations particularly equipment, beverage assembly and transportation operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, employees and outside suppliers.

Preferred:

  • 1+ years in airline catering operation, particularly Ramp Operations.
  • 1+ years in progressive leadership positions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong computer skills including use of email, Word & Excel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
