Position Summary

ABM Technical Solutions is looking for an Operations Specialist to find proficiencies and improvements with our ABM Technical Solutions operations teams in the Southeast.  The mission is to lead collaboration across all business functions (Sales, HR, Safety, Finance and Operations) across the region. The selected candidate, reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, will be responsible for the operational oversight and implementation of strategic goals for the region and seek out ways to grow and improve the business.   

Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work with and support both local operations and finance personnel.
  • Coordination with verticals and support functions, commanding service delivery within the region.
  • Responsible for financial operational support of the Regional Vice President:
    • This would include budgets, forecasts, reports, cash management and ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Support margin growth and evaluate organization for potential efficiencies
  • Coaching, growing, training and all forms of people support to develop a high caliber organization.
  • Support Operations to increase existing customer base and maintenance coverage through targeted and effective solution sales support.  Determination of acceptable risk.
  • Assist with implementation of operational improvements to improve service and client experience.
  • Training on financial, work order management and other systems as well as other operational topics as needed
  • Ensure strict compliance with ABM policies including but not limited to;
    • Contract review and legal review policies.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local code requirements.
    • State licensing requirements.
  • Review branch financial performance and recommend areas for improvement
  • Ability to work across multiple business units and support other divisions of the company
  • Develop, evaluate and analyze key operational performance metrics based on company goals and expectations
  • Timely reporting of KPI performance and other metrics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Support and report on A/P and A/R to assure optimum cash flow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, job duties may be modified at any time.
  • Job can be located in Eastern Time Zone and may require up to 50% travel.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of service-industry experience
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Sharepoint and MS Project
  • Strong accounting skills with ability to manage and interpret financial reports
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, High School Diploma or GED is required.
