About the Job:
Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager for Latin America, this role will support Restaurant Excellence, Field Operations and Training execution for Taco Bell in Ibero America; accountable for implementing operating programs, driving results, enabling business growth through strengthened field franchise capability and engaging the franchisee community with strategic initiatives that drive our commercial revenues and deliver our future back vision of world class operations.
The Day-to-Day:
- Work closely with all Franchisee Directors of Operations to build organizational capability and to ensure that these franchisees are Taco Bell brand builders. Actively becoming the coach of our franchise ops partners.
- Liaise with all franchisees specifically the tactical execution of agreed Taco Bell initiatives with primary contact with directors of operations and franchisee cross-functional teams.
- Take high ownership & leadership of all customer programs and processes (VOC, CORE program, Food Safety, Training execution & BOH improvements). Train on programs, how to use, interpret and leverage insights. Continually drive results with markets and region.
- Support, at times lead and provide hands on training to franchisee leaders to enable growth. Strengthen/ build capability, providing coaching and strategy improvements on execution of Standards, Systems.
- Support all Operations/Restaurants tests to ensure we develop initiatives in an efficient and effective way delivering “field ready†initiatives (including localized), with a simple and right first time execution. Lead the Ops support in the development of training materials from design to field execution.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on Operations, working closely with entire cross functional teams and learning and sharing best practices from TB US, international and sister brands to share know-how.
- New Market entry Franchise Ops and training team’s onboarding, build capability and provide training support for new operators from managerial leadership positions to core team members. Support new market entry prior to, during and post opening.
- Partner as needed with development team to review kitchen layouts for new builds and renovations to ensure the layouts are compliant with adequate capacity, food and health safety standards.
- Support the Marketing Calendar and projects to enable sales, unit growth and margin improvement to support the business model. Identify opportunities, develop and maintain process which will define, enable and bring to life a growth enabling culture to the operations teams and the wider business.
Is This You?
- 7+ years within restaurant operations roles, including restaurant management/multi-site management roles is required to be successful in this role
- Working in an above restaurant role, meaning you must have coached and influenced other coaches, preferably in a franchisor-franchisee capacity is essential
- Bachelor's Degree not essential but desired
- Ability to strategize and set a vision in partnership with franchisees
- Excellent analytical & problem resolution skills
- Effective organizational skills and time management skills; balance multiple priorities successfully
- Excellent commercial skills - able to disseminate information, identify themes, patterns and trends and conceive systems, tools and processes which drive revenues and grow the business.
- Ability to impact & influence stakeholders - have productive conflict at a high level to drive desired outcomes. Confidence and presence to interact with franchisees
- Emotional Intelligence - high levels of self-awareness, the ability to flex style to target audience and emotional resilience
- Ability to travel; overnight stays and consecutive days away resulting in a high percentage of travel time.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Bilingual Skills – Spanish and English fluency, both written and spoken is essential to this role
