Job Description
As an Accounting Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Monthly COE Close – Assist in the monthly close including preparing monthly journal entries for the Argo COE entity, including assistance or preparation of account reconciliations for complex transactions as necessary
- General Ledger – Prepare monthly journal entries and enter journal entries into Cadency
- Financial Reporting – Assist in mid-month forecasting and month end variances for plant expenses
- Special Projects – Help Argo COE with special projects as they come up during the summer months.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Progress towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
- Ability to work 40 hrs per week during the summer internship term
- Proficiency in US GAAP accounting principles, as well as the understanding of SOX preferred
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft’s suite of office software programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day
- Interest in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:
- Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Ingredion does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position or to provide this position as OPT or CPT.
- Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor’s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
