Job Description

Job purpose

This role will be responsible for building, maintaining, and managing Time Studies for the Workforce Intelligence Team within the Government Business Segment. In addition, the team member will partner with business units outside the Workforce Intelligence Team to facilitate process discovery meetings while maintaining open lines of communication within the Workforce Intelligence Team Pillars to ensure time studies are coordinated and align to existing and planned capacity plans.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Facilitate all aspects of time studies from initial discovery sessions with key stake holders, provide comprehensive training and support to participants during a study, and report final analysis to key stake holders for areas supported by Operational Excellence (OE)
  • Ability to build partnerships and maintain an excellent working relationship with expanded off shore Workforce Intelligence (WFI) Global Service Provider (GSP)
  • Requires solution-based strategic thinking to understand process workflows within a business unit, and ensure a time study aligns to existing or planned capacity models
  • Ensure routine maintenance of a time study is performed such as timely responses to participant questions and troubleshooting while ensuring limited impact to a client’s operations.
  • Root cause analysis – Ability to review participant data for trends and communicate any deficiencies that can impact the integrity of a time study to stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain multiple time studies from 2 – 4 at a time with WFI and GSP assistance (be the keeper of information and understand the current status of any owned time study)
  • Statistical Analysis – Ability to apply concepts of statistical analysis (standard deviation, variation, normal distribution) in order to calculate handle times of a time study data set
  • Apply decision making skills as needed to generate weekly status reports informing stakeholders of the current state of a time study and any ongoing trends
  • Integrate final handle time results into existing capacity plan through partnerships with business leaders and WFI support
  • Support periodic re-engineering projects – improve existing time tracking tools to improve the user experience; make as needed updates to internal process flows  for more effective collection and maintenance of participant activity regarding time studies; leverage business knowledge and relationships with functional leads to provide recommendations on how best to improve the time study product
  • Participate in recurring team meetings and one-on-ones
  • Drive change and influence individuals at all levels of the organization to take or avoid risks as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree  (Preferred concentration: Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Business)
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience related to predictive modeling and analytics
  • Medicare/Medicaid experience is preferred especially in a resource/workforce planning environment
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and track record of satisfied matrix partners
  • Ability to influence, drive, and improve the areas above, the person in this position will need to be self-motivated and possess strong leadership qualities.
  • Capability to successfully navigate and contribute in a highly-matrixed environment
  • Strong customer focus and management of client expectations
  • Expertise within Microsoft Office toolset

Working conditions

The individual in this role will be expected to work a standard 40 hour work week. This position will likely be a salaried employee. The position will have the opportunity to be performed from home. When working from home the individual must maintain a secure working environment since the information may contain HIPPA compliance information. The individual must maintain a high speed internet connection for establishing a compliant VPN connection to the Cigna-HealthSpring network.

Direct reports

This position will not have any direct reports.

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
