Our Occupational Health Department has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Technician candidate out of Assumption, IL. The primary focus for this role will be to assist employees with work-related and personal wellness needs, specifically work related injuries as well as assisting Environmental Health and Safety Department with projects when available.

 

Job Responsibilities:        

  • Respond to plant emergencies as appropriate with training
  • Assist with physician clinic                                                                                              
  • As time permits, assist Environmental Health & Safety with projects such as data entry, reports, filing, etc.                                                                                                                                                       
  • Assist Safety with First Responder Meetings as appropriate                 
  • Blood Drive Coordinator for all blood drives, working to increase donors at each drive
  • Scheduling appointments for associates with various medical providers, including pre-employment drug screens, physicals, DOT physicals, travel health immunizations, injury-related appointments, etc.  
  • Customer Services to our associates checking in at the window
  • Numerous administrative tasks, including building and maintaining spreadsheets, logs          
  • Maintain daily visit logs                                                                    
  • File medical information in appropriate associate record after logging information in systems.        
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.                                                                                                        
  • Answer phones and maintain professionalism at all times                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

 

 

Education:

High School Diploma/GED required.

Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, First Responder, and/or Emergency Medical Technician preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

Medical office experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment

Medical experience, preferred

 

Work Environment

Office environment with occasional time in plant environment which could include exposure to temperature extremes. 

 

Physical Demands

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.

 Occasional patient lifting required with assistance of first responders.
