Family Care includes the Bounty, Charmin, and Puffs paper product brands with a large installed base of production lines across the United States. Responsibilities will include multiple projects from a broad portfolio including technology developments, brand initiatives, cost savings projects, and continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities:
- Early Involvement in upstream technology development leveraging standardization and use of platform design, converting equipment systems, and equipment standards targeting Brand initiatives, savings, and capacity growth.
- Partner with R&D. Engineering and Commercial resources to develop and install new packaging equipment to enable flawless startups and provide long term flexibility and process stability.
- Responsible for all manufacturing standards and results for new projects through lead line demonstration (standard machine design, change parts, drawings, spares, and training).
- Ensure manufacturing deliverables checklist developed, and executed to enable vertical Startup and achieve category Safety, Quality, Cost, Production capability and capacity goals.
- Build capability in the manufacturing and technical communities, training those who interface with or use platform equipment.
- Lead efficiency improvements of Supply Chains and Manufacturing Operations by leveraging the latest technologies.
- Responsible and accountable for schedule, cost, resource planning and execution of selected projects and programs.
- Lead Communications between downstream manufacturing plant zone owner and operations for fit for use and touch and improve throughout the design process.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
BS or MS Degree in Engineering or other related degree and/or work-related experience).
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong technical background and understanding of design principles/operations of converting/packaging/Finished product handling.
- Ability to innovate and generate "outside the box" or creative solutions.
- Demonstration of Run to Target-Process Control, Centerlines, Process definition Quality, Maintenance and Loss Elimination.
- Leadership to align diverse group of cross functional team to ensure project deliverables completed prior to plant delivery.
- Intolerance for loss and ability to develop Loss Analysis Action plans and drive them to completion.
- Ability to transfer knowledge through TT&T development and document in standards.
- Ability to communicate project status and priorities through written and verbal communication.
- Knowledge and Fluency in plant manufacturing systems-Safety, Quality Data systems, Change Control, Centerlines, Maintenance, and loss elimination.
- Up to 30% Travel to 6 Family Care/Equipment Manufacturing sites for Delivery, Reapplications, Initiative Support and Voice of Manufacturing.
